Dr. Daniel J. Kyabayinze (PhD) is a Medical Doctor, Clinical Epidemiologist and Public Health Practitioner. He currently serves as the Director Health Services in charge of Public Health, a position he assumed in November 2021. Additionally, he supports the COVID-19 response as the National COVID-19 Vaccination Commander.

He holds MBChB from Mbarara University, MSc in Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics from Makerere University, a Doctorate in Medical Services (PhD) from the University of Antwerp, Belgium

Dr. Kyabayinze has gained experience in Quality of Care (QOC)
improvement, having worked as a technical officer engaging with
the World Health Organization (WHO). -
He also worked with the Foundation for Innovative New
Diagnostics, and Malaria Consortium in the African region to
develop systems to track the quality of diagnostics in private and
public sectors and ensured the alignment of Monitoring and
Evaluation frameworks to Malaria profile. -
Together with the National Malaria Control Division (NMCD), he
spearheaded the development of the National Framework to
strengthen the Malaria Surveillance and Response system in Uganda.

- Test & Treat Initiative: Official launch & introduction; for Early Cancer Prevention, Detection, diagnosis, and linkage to care for successful treatment
- Close the cancer Care Gap: Delivering commitment and creating synergies across countries, governments, and partners
