- Andrea Towlerton has been at the Fred Hutch for over 12 years working in the Clinical Research Division and with the Global Oncology Program where her passion in research resides in cancer genomics. She is the Laboratory Director for the Uganda Cancer Institute-Fred Hutch Cancer Center (Hutchinson Research Institute Uganda) and is based here in Kampala, Uganda.
- Her main focus has been managing high-level scientific research projects and laboratories efficiently, cost-effectively and with precision. She has immense joy in connecting and bringing cutting edge scientific research abroad focusing on building capacity, training and developing better therapies for treatment of cancer and other diseases.
